Dr. LynnMarie S. Leyder,  Doctor of Chiropractic

Thank you for taking the time to visit my webpage and explore what chiropractic care can do for you! As a west Michigan native and Mona Shores grad, activity has always been a part of my life. Riding horses competitively, gymnastics, skiing, snowboarding and water sports are just a few of the activities I have enjoyed. The years of wear and tear on my body started to catch up with me. This pain led me on a search for an effective method to maintain my active lifestyle and brought me to the wellness care of chiropractic. My first experience with a chiropractor did not occur until after I had graduated from Albion College. At that time, I was having headaches with such intensity that I would come home from work in tears. After exhaustive efforts to diagnose and treat my pain I was only able to mask it. Finally I sought the help of a chiropractor. After receiving my first adjustment, I experienced overwhelming pain relief. This experience was so life changing that I decided I wanted to share chiropractic with those around me. I understand how miserable it can be to experience that kind of pain and what courage it takes to start to heal and recover. You will always be treated as a unique individual with your own specific goals at the forefront of your care. I am a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, the founding institution of chiropractic care with over 100 years of experience. Since graduating from Palmer, I have pursued continuing educational classes as well as being an active member of the Michigan Association of Chiropractors, in order to provide patients with the most current and complete chiropractic care.  I have successfully owned and operated Serenity Wellness since 2011. I have been married to my husband, Ron, since 2006 and we are both excited to be living back in West Michigan. Life with our two chocolate labs is always an adventure. You may just meet them at the office from time to time. I am honored to take this wellness journey with you.

Dr. John Clark, Doctor of Chiropractic

Raised in west Michigan, I have been athletic starting at a young age, running in cross country and track and field. I began receiving Chiropractic care at a young age to resolve some low back pain and issues. Around 15 years old, I decided that I wanted to be a chiropractor to help people in a way which didn’t involve unnecessary drugs and surgeries.  I graduated from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI with a Bachelor’s of Science in 2012. From there I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA and graduated with a Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2015. In order to be effective in helping may people I obtained additional training in other chiropractic techniques to help for a variety of problems and issues that people may have. I was also trained in Activator Methods basic and advanced level, Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT), and soft tissues work (including Graston). After graduating, I opened my own practice and ran it for 3 years, until moving back home for family.

Laurie H, Office Manager

I was born and raised in Sparta and graduated from Sparta High School with my area of study being Medical Office & Medical and Dental Billing & Coding. I worked for a major insurance company as a Medical & Dental Claims Specialist for 20 years before declining a relocation to Utah with my department. I returned to school to purse my nursing passion and procured my National licensure as a Patient Care Technician, Phlebotomy Technician, and Electrocardiogram Technician in addition to my BLS/AED certifications. I spent the next 9 years as an Operations Manager for an Assisted Living & Independent Living facility where I managed a nursing team of 32. I began working for Dr. Leyder in 2018 as an office manager. Since this time, I have gained a sincere appreciation for the chiropractic field, its misconceptions, and the relief and overall wellness I witness on a daily basis. Dr. Leyder is caring and compassionate and this carries over to her staff as well. I feel fortunate to be a part of a team with the same goal of helping others. I enjoy speaking with current patients and look forward to meeting new people daily. During my time away from work, I enjoy our pool, trail riding, and camping but most of all just spending time with my husband, children, friends, & family.

Kara, Sparta Front Desk Assistant
Hi, I’m Kara! I’m 20 years old, and was born and raised in Sparta, Michigan. I started working for Doctor Leyder in May, 2022. Prior to this I worked in the medical field, and am now focusing on my career in billing & insurance. Working for Serenity Wellness is giving me that opportunity to gain experience and Knowledge in the field. I’m looking forward to growing here both professionally and as a person! My favorite part of the job is the amazing team I get to work with, it rarely feels like work when you’re getting to work alongside people who have become like family. We truly feel like each patient is apart of our family! Outside of work I enjoy being outdoors, and hanging out with friends.

Erin S, Norton Shores Front Desk

I grew up in the little town of Fruitport and started working in the medical field immediately after graduating from high school.  I have experience in physical therapy, internal, family and pediatric medicine, and within assistant living facilities but had yet to experience the chiropractic field. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity and look forward to growing and learning from Dr. Leyder in regards to chiropractic care and the benefits it brings to all of her patients. During my time away from work, I enjoy hiking and kayaking with my teenage son, motorcycles rides/traveling adventures with my boyfriend and quality time with my family and friends.

Paige R, Licensed Massage Therapist

I grew up in Newaygo, but spent a good portion of my free time outside of Newaygo on our family horse farm, that eventually brought me to my chosen work of Massage Therapy. I was closing in on my senior year and knew I wanted a career that had anything to do with horses. I rode, competed, and took care of Arabian horses from the time I was little which means I watched and talked with a lot of professions of care for these animals. This included my first experience with a chiropractor. It was after I met and watched their work that I decided I wanted to be apart of the alternative care. I ended up shadowing a chiropractor who adjusted people and animals down in Indiana who introduced me to several others in alternative therapies, including a massage therapist. It was then I decided to attend Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics in 2016 and spent 11 months to complete my training in massage therapy for people and for animals. I had only had a couple of massages myself before this. During my time there, I found how amazing it was, not only to feel the difference, but to see the difference in others that massage therapy gave. I went on to get my massage therapy license in 2018 and have worked on people, horses, and dogs since then!
